DG SHESTCO, HON. MAGAJI DA’U ALIYU, PhD, mni CHARGES ENGINEERS, TECHNOLOGISTS, SCIENTISTS, AND RESEARCHERS TO DEVELOP STRATEGIC WORKPLANS FOR REVENUE GENERATION

Abuja, Nigeria – The Director-General of Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Hon. Engr. Magaji Da’u Aliyu, has urged engineers, technologists, scientists, and researchers to develop strategic workplans focused on revenue generation.

Addressing the Engineers, Technologists, Scientists and Researchers at SHESTCO, Hon Engr. Magaji Da’u Aliyu emphasized the need for innovative approaches to drive financial sustainability. “We must translate our research and expertise into tangible economic benefits,” he said.

He further emphasized and called for orientation and change of mindset from research for publication to research for Internally Generated Revenue

The key areas for focus outlined by the Director General include:

-Commercialization of research outputs-Industrial services for companies and multinational corporations-Carrying out large scale commercial analytical services-Business Development Consultancy services.

He encouraged staff to embrace entrepreneurship, creativity, and problem-solving to boost SHESTCO’s impact and revenue.

“Let’s commercialise the system by revitalising our facilities, machinery and equipment, as well as translating our products of research to the marketplace of the economy as the Act (Law) establishing SHESTCO gives us all the opportunity to make money for the Institution, and the country as well as improve welfare of staff and citizenry ” the DG pinpointed.
