CHINESE FIRM EXPLORE PARTNERSHIP ON POWER, MINING AND FOOD SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES

The Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Hon. Magaji Da'u Aliyu, PhD, mni, has reaffirmed the commitment of SHESTCO to building strategic international partnerships that will accelerate Nigeria's technological advancement, industrial development and economic transformation.The assurance was given when a delegation from ZHENJIANG RISESUN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CO. LTD, China, paid a partnership visit to the Director-General at the SHESTCO Headquarters to explore areas of collaboration in the critical sectors of power, mining, and security technologies.Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Magaji Da'u Aliyu welcomed the Chinese delegation and described the proposed collaboration as timely and consistent with the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda of promoting innovation, technology transfer, industrialization and sustainable national development.The Director-General emphasized that SHESTCO, as Nigeria's foremost multidisciplinary research institution under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, is strategically positioned to collaborate with reputable global technology companies in developing practical solutions to national challenges, particularly in the areas of energy, solid minerals development and modern security systems.Hon. Magaji Da'u Aliyu's vast experience in the power sector provides a strong foundation for the proposed collaboration. Before his appointment as Director-General of SHESTCO, he served with distinction as Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Power, where he played a significant role in legislative oversight, policy formulation and advocacy for improved electricity generation, transmission and distribution across Nigeria. His extensive knowledge of the power sector is expected to add immense value to the partnership discussions.The visiting delegation from ZHENJIANG RISESUN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CO.
